History is made when Sofer Yerman and Sofer Seltzer both join us to scribe in our Torah! Both Soferim lent their musical gifts to our Tefillah Band Shabbat, with Sofer Yerman playing the clarinet and Soferet Seltzer singing with the band. A Creative Shabbat Morning Service is led by Rabbi Sandi Intraub and Julie DiOrio, followed by a Lunch and Learn with the Soferim about the history of Hebrew letters.
Shabbat ended with Havdalah and and two programs: Teens enjoyed time with Soferet Seltzer debtating whether robots could write a kosher Torah, and Adult Learning hosted Sofer Yerman’s “CSI Torah” program.
Sunday, both Sofer Yerman and Soferet Seltzer hosted scribing sessions, and 185 letters were scribed in our new Torah.
