Check out our calendar of events for 2018-2019!
Join us for a special Mishpachah event on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 4 - 7 pm.
Beth El Temple Center and JCC Greater Boston have organized this evening's activities: drop off the kids in the babysitting room for some fun and games, while parents enjoy a Positive Discipline workshop by child development expert Jill Vetstein.
Here is an explanation of our regular monthly Mishpachah Events*:
First Fridays: Family Shabbat Service and Pot-Luck, 5:30pm
Spend Shabbat as a family at our brief, family-oriented services, the first Friday of every month. Rabbi Kraus leads an interactive service with our new child-friendly prayerbook, singing, and a story. This service draws families with children grade 2 and under. Join the larger Temple community for a dairy pot-luck congregational dinner at 6:00pm, following services.
Shake It Up Shabbat, Select Saturday Mornings, 9:00am
Bring your children for a lively, fun, movement oriented 25 minute service, with musical instruments, led by Rabbi Kraus. This is primarily geared toward preschool children and under. Following services, our creative teacher, Liane Weber leads fun-filled learning activities, including cooking and crafts, to engage children and their families with Shabbat, holiday and Jewish traditions.
Rishonim on Sunday Mornings, 9:30am
Join Heidi Seiger, our fabulous educator, on Sunday mornings for a warm, nurturing introduction to Jewish life. This early childhood education program meets on 15 Sundays throughout the school year and is for children ages 3, 4, and 5, along with their parent/s. Come and meet other young families, learn about Jewish rituals and holidays through music, stories, arts & crafts, games and much more, and enjoy special visits from Rabbi Kraus. Registration required; for more information about the cost and to register, contact Rabbi Sandi**.
