Rabbi Jonathan Kraus has had an immeasurable impact on the life and character of Beth El Temple Center. His legacy spans more than 30 years of dedicated service as the lead rabbi of our congregation. As we prepare for his retirement in June 2027, we invite you to honor this legacy through your financial support.

Financial Security Throughout the Clergy Transition and into the Future

Donations to the Blessings, Past and Future campaign will go to the Rabbi Jonathan Kraus Legacy and Transition Fund. Gifts and pledges may be made over 5 years.

Generous early donors have already helped us achieve the first goal of covering the costs associated with the clergy transition, in order to keep our congregation on solid financial footing through a time of change.

The majority of the funds donated to the Rabbi Jonathan Kraus Legacy and Transition Fund will be used to ensure our long-term financial stability and carry forward Rabbi Kraus’s legacy well into the future, from strength to strength. At the discretion of the Board, these funds may be invested into the endowment or added to the general reserves.

Honoring Rabbi Kraus

jonathanThe things that we love about Beth El Temple Center are due, in no small part, to Rabbi Kraus’s leadership. Your support can help us preserve these valuable aspects of Beth El for the future. In return for all the gifts he has given to our community, we can demonstrate to Rabbi Kraus our gratitude for him by investing in the kehillah kedosha (holy community) that he has helped to build. Community centered around Jewish values, with meaningful expression in worship, lifelong learning, and tikkun olam, has never been more important for us than it is today.
