Beth E Temple Center's Open Hearts, Open Doors: Refugee Response Effort has been honored with an Irving J. Fain Social Justice Award by the Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism. These awards recognize congregations and groups "for their engaging, innovative, and impactful social action work."  The Award was presented at the URJ Biennial in Boston.

Information about the 17 congregational programs being honored this year can be found on the Religious Action Center's Fain Award Winners Page.  In addition to Beth El Temple Center, seven other congregations in the US and Canada have been recognized for their refugee crisis response programs.
