Beth El uses "fair share" or Tzedakah-based dues to fund our synagogue. Tzedakah means righteousness and we choose to support our temple in a manner that reflects this value. Our Tzedakah dues approach ensures that everyone who wants to be a part of our congregation can do so, regardless of their means. Our diverse congregation includes people with a variety of economic resources and needs. In order for those who have more limited financial means to partake in a Jewish life for themselves and their families, it requires that everyone consider their annual commitment as a partnership entered into to sustain the community. Each year, our members make their annual dues commitment based on guidelines provided by the temple. We understand that this commitment can be a significant expense for members and appreciate the investment members make in our community as a whole.
