Climate Science & Policy: A Call to Action!
Sunday, March 24, 2019, 12:30pm - 02:30pm

If you've heard the recent reports on climate change, you may be wondering what they mean to us in Massachusetts. Join the Beth El Temple Center Climate Team and the First Church's Green Team to learn about this and more from the experts.

Peter Frumhoff of the Union of Concerned Scientists will provide a synthesis of the recent reports, including the Fourth National Climate Assessment and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).  Massachusetts State Representative Will Brownsberger will tell us how the Commonwealth is responding to climate changes. We will also hear from a representative of Belmont's energy committee about what's being done at the local level.

After the presentations there will be time to talk about what we can do -- political and individual actions that can make a difference.

NOTE: This event will be held at the Parish Hall of First Church in Belmont, 404 Concord Avenue.
