All proceeds from this benefit concert will go to Mercy Corps to support their work to aid Syrian refugees.

Syria's entrenched civil war has forced millions to flee the country in search of refuge — over half of them children. Mercy Corps is meeting the needs of 2.5 million people affected by the crisis inside Syria and in neighboring host countries Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq. Donations for this concert are 100% tax deductible and will go directly to this vital work. For more information about Mercy Corps and their work with refugees, visit mercycorps.org.

Harold Arlen earned his place in the history of American music by co-writing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for the 1939 movie classic, The Wizard of Oz. Born the son of a cantor in Buffalo, NY, in the 20s Arlen moved to New York City and wrote for Harlem's Cotton Club revues - co-creating standards such as “Stormy Weather” and “I’ve Got The World On A String” for the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Ethel Waters.

Vocalist Will McMillan and jazz pianist Joe Reid breathe new life into Arlen’s beloved standards including “Get Happy,” “It’s Only a Paper Moon,” “That Old Black Magic,” “Accentuate the Positive,” “Blues In The Night,” “Come Rain of Come Shine,” “If I Only Had A Brain,” “Let’s Fall In Love,” and, of course, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
