Want to Develop a More In-depth Knowledge of Israel?
The Adult Learning Team is pleased to offer a two-year, Me'ah style class, called Tzion: Changing the Way You Feel About Israel By Studying Israel. We are thrilled to announce that the class will be taught by Rabbi David Starr, an excellent professor, loved by many BETC Meah participants!
Want to learn more about Tzion?
Join us for "A Taste of Tzion" on Sept. 21 at 2pm with Rabbi David Starr.
Tzion is a two-year course of study in the history and ideas of Zionism and the State of Israel. It connects learners to Israel, to the place and to the people by its commitment to serious learning. The goal is that students become creative and critical learners, who will recognize the limitations of old ideas and answers they had about the nature and reality of Zionism and develop a sense of nuance that enhances their understanding and appreciation of Zionism and Israel.
The class will begin on Oct. 20, 2014 and meet on Monday nights from 7-9:30pm. Registration is $400 per year for members, $500 per year for non-members. Please see the attached flyer and click here for the Tzion application. For more information about the program, please contact Elyse Shuster at
