Many months ago, congregants contributed ideas and visual images to help launch this project, and even more responded to design concepts posted in the temple foyer.  The ark Curain Committee – Jane Levin, Emily Blatt, Lynne Delise, Cantor Fine, Rabbi Kraus, Ellen Miller, Michael Wolfson (and later, Jonathan Miller, as we tweaked the ark lighting) – spent months deliberating, imagining, and revisiting, followed by cutting, pinning (evaluating, adjusting!), and sewing, and we are pleased to share the fruits of that lengthy endeavor.  We hope that ll will appreciate the care we took to listen, and then to weave many congregants' desired qualities into the design of the curtain.  We're so pleased with the outcome and hope you will agree that it is a peaceful, yet interesting and beautiful image on which to rest one's gaze, and that it honors the precious Torahs it covers.
