“The Four Questions…and Others”
Join Rabbi Kraus in exploring the four questions and other texts from the Passover haggadah without anyone asking, “Is it time to eat yet?” This will be a great chance to ask some of your own Passover questions as well as explore a few, traditional seder texts through the lens of personal spirituality, the history of the seder, the Jewish values woven into the seder ritual and, of course, the meaning of everything. Plus, we’ll spend part of our shabbes together! What could be bad?
“Habitat Sanctuary Nature Walk”
Enjoy a relaxed Shabbat walk around Belmont's Habitat Sanctuary, led by Jill Tapper. If we are quiet, we might hear the wood frogs quacking at the vernal pool, or see the turtles sunning themselves at Turtle Pond. We can look for early wildflowers. Meet at the circle above the Habitat parking area at 2:30pm. We will go, rain or shine, and terrain might be somewhat muddy, so dress accordingly. Appropriate for all ages, but no strollers please. Limit: 10 people
“On the Doorposts of Your House”
Design and create your own personalized Mezuzah with Susan Morrel. Choose from beads, glass tiles, mosaics, paint, and more. Bring your ideas and if you want, your own mezuzah samples to share with others. This is a wonderful Shabbat activity for all ages! Don’t miss out!
“Lying and Stealing - Are they ever Ethical in Judaism?"
